Rapid-Onset Piperacillin-tazobactam Induced Thrombocytopenia

We describe 2 patients who developed rapid-onset thrombocytopenia from piperacillin/tazobactam. Other causes of immediate thrombocytopenia were excluded. These cases describe a rare presentation of rapid-onset thrombocytopenia in a commonly used medication.
